I'm settled in in my spring digs ... I have an apartment above Rapunzel's Hairbraiding shop at the Georgia Renaissance Festival. This spring I built a kitchen out back ... it's about 8' x 10', but half of it is a tool-shed. Kelly is going to make curtains to hide the clutter underneath the counter I built. Here's a picture of the front of the shop. Upstairs is about 12x20 , with a 12x12 sleeping loft that is tall enough for me to stand in. I keep my closet and bed space in the loft, and the main part of the room is office and seating.
I've got bigger signage on the shop now, but no pics of it.
Here is a pic of the ugly, or not-so-ugly backside of a Renaissance booth. My little kitchen, and at the very edge (right) of the photo is the bathroom ... yes, it's 2 flights of stairs between my bed and my bathroom. I get pretty good exercise just dealing with the stairs multiple times each day. The 2 blue tanks on the shelf hold my wash-water. I boil it on the stove for hot water. The door at the top of the stairs leads into my apartment. Once it begins to get warm, I put up a canvas tarp to shade the back area from the morning sun.
As for the inside of the kitchen (and the counter I built, as well as the stove I hooked up (safely ... no gas leaks!) ...
I just wanted to give you a pic of my world today.
